Other Ministries
Ministry at Wesley Chapel is a dynamic and changing part of congregational life. To us, ministry is simply the activities of God's people meeting the needs of God's world through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. New ministries emerge at Wesley Chapel as God raises up people from within the congregation and gives them a passion or a vision to meet a need He's laid on their heart. Ministry is never imposed from the top down, but arises from the midst of the community.
New ministries begin when three key ideas come into focus together...
- The passions and abilities of leadership (pastoral and lay)
- The passions and abilities of the congregation (workers, volunteers, resources)
- The needs of the community (a response to something that needs to be done for those around us).
Starting New Ministries
If you are sensing a God-given passion for a ministry that doesn't yet exist at Wesley Chapel, or if God is giving you a burden for an unmet need around us, God may be using you to help launch a new ministry here in the congregation. We encourage you to contact us in order to connect with one of the pastoral staff or a member of the leadership development team to explore more about what needs to happen next.
