Worship and Music

The Worship Ministry of Wesley Chapel is committed to the encouragement of a lifestyle of worship - a response to God for all He is and for all He has done through Christ in the Holy Spirit.

We believe that worship is to be participatory (Psalm 150), that the Father seeks us as active worshipers (John 4), and that through Jesus we now have access to Him as believers (Hebrews 10). Worship is not just about singing songs. It is about living lives of holiness. Music is important, but it is only one form of how worship is expressed. Worship, at its core, involves giving oneself away, being distinct from the world, a reorientation of the mind, and doing God's will (Romans 12).

We believe that worship is not a matter of serving or satisfying human feelings, but of serving and rightly glorifying God through song, proclamation, teaching, and acts of mercy. It is to be simple, but not shallow; practical, yet mystical; personal, as well as corporate. Wesley Chapel welcomes all who desire to join us as together we worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with our whole lives.
