Faith Forest is the children's ministry of Wesley Chapel. All of Faith Forest's ministries are described below. Wesley Chapel is looking for God-called adults to love Jesus through serving our children. FIRST TOUCH
Children receive the FIRST TOUCH of love from Wesley Chapel in our nursery. As children experience care from Wesley Chapel adults, they instinctively absorb the concept that God and His people love them and quickly meet their needs. We serve infants through age 3 (sometimes 4). First Touch is offered for Sunday morning and Wednesday events.
ROTATION SUNDAY SCHOOL
Our Sunday morning Bible ministry for children age 5 through 6th grade makes God's Word relevant and memorable. One Bible story theme each month is creatively repeated through 4 workshops: art, storytelling, games, and science/cooking. The monthly story, verse, and life application is deeply imprinted on young lives through active learning and through interaction with adult role models.
TEAM KID
Knowing that trusting Christ as Savior is only the first step of the Christian journey, our Wednesday kids' ministry (6-7 o'clock) strives to help our children learn the character traits of Christian living. Along with dedicated teachers, children study the Bible while enjoying high-energy games and earning points toward prizes. They understand the "big picture" of living the Christian life.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Give our Lord Jesus a Christmas gift on His birthday by packing and sending a box of gifts to a child in need who many not know the gospel Jesus came to bring. Churches overseas use these boxes for outreach events to lost families. Jesus said when you give to the "least of these" you are giving a gift to Him!
KIDS' CONGREGATION (children's church)
Children who are four or five through the 3rd grade may come to children's church during the sermon part of our worship service after the "blessing of the children." Since we feel children benefit most from observing parents pray and sing, kids worship with their families until the sermon begins. At that time we offer appropriate Bible teaching for children. We "graduate" children to adult worship when they enter the 4th grade.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Every year children ages 4 through 11 get an intense experience of Jesus through our VBS. In 5 days children receive as much exposure to the gospel message as they get in months of church. VBS is one of the most creative, enjoyable programs for children as scenery, costumes, music, drama and projects combine with Scripture to form unforgettable impressions that God can use to transform young lives.
FALL FESTIVAL
This Halloween alternative will provide kids with lots of fun and candy AND with opportunity to hear the gospel as presented in the "wordless book." We need parents and friends to help set up, staff and take down this exciting event. COMING IN FALL 09
SPRING FLING
We celebrate Jesus' Resurrection with a "Resurrection Eggs" event and an Easter egg hunt. We need parents to help us prepare, staff, and clean up. COMING IN SPRING 09
